PPD 78
Another shot from the free day at the gardens last Sunday. Everyone else was walking around looking at the flowers and sculptures. So naturally I sat down and took twenty frames of... a bench.
Oh sure, now he is being all PC and reiterating he doesn't harbor hatred. Just come out with it. You can hate flowers. It's okay...
I almost wish you hadn't told us it was a bench. At first glimpse I thought it was some abstract art and I was trying to "see" a picture in it. Guess I will have to stick to cloud gazing for that.
I regret any pain my earlier remarks about flowers may have caused. I harbor no ill-will against flowers, nor indeed any non-edible members of the plant family. Can't we all just get along?
I'm surprised you thought it was abstract. That just screams wood grain to me... although I did know where it came from.
When I was working on this I tried flipping it sideways, which actually made a startling impact. One of those horizontal lines vs vertical lines things. Maybe I'll post a flipped version later.
Apparently my issues extend to disregarding the obvious. Once I knew it was wood, duh, it looked like wood. Maybe it was the brightness that made me think of a painting at first. I don't know. I'm also the person who looks at the word verification text when I leave a comment and try to sound out the word?
Maybe it's just me... maybe I don't have enough going on here to occupy my mind. Maybe I need to take up knitting or something...

Your hatred of flowers was worth it. Nice shot.
Thank Tim!
Although for the record I don't hate flowers, I just think they're the subject of way too many photos. Basically they're overdone.

I see hundreds of tiny sea horsies surrounding a beautiful mermaid.
