Last week a grass fire burned part of Green Mountain near Denver. I got out a few days later to take some pictures.
The edge of the burn area is quite distinct. It's actually not as black as I had expected. It rained a couple times before I got there, which I imagine washed out the darkest of the ash.
Surprisingly this small trail, not even a foot wide, was the firebreak.
There just something odd about a burned cactus.
