On the drive down from Independence Pass we stopped for some shots. Actually, we stopped so I could get a different shot, but luckily we parked at the top of a slope covered in aspens. At the bottom were these dark rocks with leaves fallen all around. I shot for probably 20 minutes, until Wendy finally shooed me back into the car. I'll definitely be going back to that spot next year!
