News In Pictures

Now I've become obsessed with this little photo paging widget of mine, so I've done yet another version. This is like the previous one, but it also rifles through the description for images, rotates pictures automatically every 10 seconds (until you click forward or back), and scales images larger as well as smaller.

All of which is handy for news photos, which tend to be smaller than the ones from photo sites. So I fed it some top news feeds from Yahoo and Google, and stuck it on my sidebar right below the other photo one.

Thoughts? Comments? Anybody want one? :)

Funny, I was just on your blog earlier (commenting on Inked) and I didn't see the new photos. Came back on to check something from an earlier post (long story) and saw the news feed photos. (I was asking myself how I missed them the first time, but then I got to actually READING your update on how they were added.) Too cool.
Sure I'd love one of these nifty features, can you make me a blog to go with it? :)

I've already found your rotator very educational, for example, I just realized that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed bears a striking resemblance to Ron Jeremy. You know, that guy who was on The Surreal Life? The images move a bit quickly for us old folks though, you kids are used to shooting up video games and can deal with that.

Damn, you're right! This can only mean one thing - the porn stars are all secret jihadists bent on the destruction of the US! If you buy porn you're supporting the terrorists!

oh crap, it seems everything I do supports the terrorists these days...
